When a modern hand analyst examines your hands they are assessing three complex interrelated systems which map-out both your personal character and your individual calling. Your personality psychology is denoted by your hand shape and lines and your Life Purpose psychology is spelled-out in your fingerprints.

Every aspect of your hands tells you about your perceptual filters and preferences--how you see the world from your own point of view and where your blind spots are--as well as what type of environment you operate best in.

Fingerprints
Your fingerprints formed five months before you were born and you carry them with you all your life, they are static, they do not change. This is why your fingerprints are considered to be your personal physical signature. Given that your fingerprints say so much about who you are physically, and are seen as a reflection of your DNA, it shouldn't be such a surprise that they also tell you about who you are at a deeper level--the unique core state of consciousness you long to live in that makes your life feel meaningful. Your Life Purpose transcends your personality psychology (personal characteristics such as emotional or thinking style, talents, or aptitudes). Your fingerprints are truly your blueprint for a fulfilling life. They tell the understory of your highest potential self trying to express itself at all times.

Shape
The overall shape of your hands represents the foundation of your personality. Are you primarily a thinker, feeler, doer, or people person? There are four primary hand shapes and most people have a combination of two types. If you look at the examples you can easily see the differences among the types and see that people can be very different from one another.

In addition to this there are the lengths, segment shapes, settings, and spread of the fingers and thumb and the fleshy or depleted shapes of the various areas of your palm to take into account. By examining shape it is easy to see how you are using your energy budget--what you are paying most attention to--and how the various aspects of self are being "fed" or "starved" or if every part of you is being fed "just right." All aspects of your hand's shapes can and do make changes as you do.

Lines
The lines are the most complex system in the hands. They represent the sum total of your brain's processing over time and tell you about your character (which means "etched" as the lines are carved in your hands). They are your internal "wiring" system, your inner motivations, your inner self. Your lines tell you about your emotional preferences (including communications), how your mind works, your orientation to your body and self-nurturance, and how you relate to family/group/society. Your lines may contain special gift markers denoting very specific talents you have which require use or they turn sour and make your life difficult indeed. All lines in your hands can make changes when you alter your internal habits of thinking, feeling, and/or fully being present in your body.
